My Jamaican Mommy (bf's mom

) was saying that since it's getting hotter I should plait or twist (like the one twist like a combtwist) Hassan's hair because with all his hair he's going to be feeling it in his head. Is anyone doing any special styling for the babies? And can someone tell me how to do the one twist, I know AJD's mom did it on her son's hair and she had pics one time.

Well, Maddy stays in plaits so I will stick with that.
She's a sweater too, so I don't know what else to do.
As for the twists, there is a young girl who twists her daughter's hair at Maddy's sitter
I will ask her how she does that
It looks like regular combtwists to me though
She just makes "boxes" and twists the hair in each box
Oh another thing I do to Maddy's hair is spritz it daily, before I plait each section, with diluted NTM Daily Deep condish. It helps her hair stay moisturized. Her hair is prone to being dry though.

lol summer styles...

her summer styles are the same styles that she wears year round.
Some older people can't stand to see a little babies hair out in a fro because my mom could not wait to twist and braid Naomi's hair up

Cova, I'm going to need to see more of Naomi's styles.
I am at a loss for styling now that it is long enough to braid
I do the same little boxes and stuff

You mean I'm supposed to be creating hairstyles? Izzy basically wears the same puff everyday. EVERYDAY. If the mood so strikes I may try to bust it in two puffs...but usually the same puff. Im probably going to keep putting it in one ponytail for awhile. I will start plaiting her in her one ponytail instead of the puff once it stops looking anorexic because its long (about a 5 inch or so plait) but skinny. I like 2 fat plaits but we are a good ways away from that. I don't really plan on styling her hair differently in different seasons.

I saw this woman in the mall this weekend and she was looking at manchild and mistook him for a girl because we had his hair in a ponytail. That's what he wears all the time. Or loose in a big ol afro. I pull it to the base of his neck so people won't mistake him for a girl. For some reason I think if it's a high puff in the top of the head that's girly but low on the nape is manly. lolololol But I wear mine on the nape so that I don't look like a youngin.
Anyway, she was talking about how her grandson's hair was like manchild's until they cut it because they got tired of doing hair. 5 boys and all needed their hair done. I was like "what do you mean 'doing hair.'" I told her that it was either in a puff or in an afro. But that he LOVED to get his hair done. I seriously don't know what he would do if he didn't have any hair. As soon as I'm done with my daughter's hair, he comes and sits down to get his done and most times races to beat her sitting down if I call her to come and get hers done.
Normally, my daughter wears one ponytail puff because she HATES getting her hair done, but the puff is not good for the ends. So I told her that style was not going to be worn on a long-term basis anymore. So I put 2 cornrows across the front and 2 inside french braids going towards the back. Her hair is really too thick for that but I made it work. We all thought it looked cute.

This little boy at the sitter's wears his hair in a small puff on the top of his head
I never thought about it being less manly
I think because I know he's a boy, I still think he looks like a boy
Madison's hair is still in plaits
Anything else is uncivilized
Nah, anything else doesn't last
It doesn't help that she either pulls or scratches her head RIGHT after I finish so it's hard for her to even get out of the door with a fresh look *sigh*

Two ladies at church want me to put his hair up top. One of them redid the puff tonight and then pulled the hair to the front. I swear, if I didn't know he was a boy, I would surely have mistaken him for a girl. I'm going to see if my camera phone will take a decent picture of what I'm talking about. He's just too cute for that. If he had a "harder" look about him, it would be different. But he has the long lashes, arched eyebrows - he's a looker. lolol It has to be down lower. lolololol

Little swimmers can be unstable in open waters, so increase their safety with a floatation swimsuit . Available in a variety of colorful patterns, floatation swimsuits are designed for infants and toddlers who love the seashore, but haven’t quite got the hang of the whole “not drowning” concept!
